Formazza valley
Granitois orthogneiss of pre-Triassic age, with medium size grains and accentuated schistosity, defined by biotite millimetric plans. The rock is characterised by a white background with bright black spots. In the whole, the pattern is rather even. It is also known as "White Serizzo".
Uses: indoor and outdoor floorings and coatings, stairs, skirting units, threshold, window-sills, window surrounds, frames, portals, balconies, sills, benches, kerbs, road paving, flower-holders, columns, kitchen and bathroom table-tops, fountains, funerary art, graves and chapels.
